About Liza

Liza Rosenberg was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Niskayuna, New York. As can be seen in her blog, Liza is a versatile writer who has written about a wide variety of subjects, including Waldorf education, local and regional politics and current events, fertility issues, parenting, loss and technology, among others. She has written for the BBC World Service, freelances for Israel’s Haaretz newspaper and had a story published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Grieving and Recovery. Liza writes a regular column in Hebrew for “Adam Olam“, the magazine for Israel’s Anthroposophy/Waldorf education community. She also writes poetry. Liza is married and has a son who provides a great deal of inspiration and material for her writing. She has a serious coffee habit and a penchant for dark chocolate, and she may steal sushi off your plate if you aren’t paying attention.

About the blog

In the late spring of 2005, good friend Anglosaxy worked hard at convincing Liza to join him in a new blogging venture. He quickly wore her down (that British accent gets her every time…), and after a great deal fair amount of brainstorming, something something went live on June 14th. Since that fateful day, something something has undergone a number of transformations, as Anglosaxy took his leave and Liza turned the blog into her own personal space, changing the look and style and writing about any subject that either made her socks roll up and down or got her knickers in a twist. On January 1st, 2008, another transformation took place, as something something migrated to a different blogging platform. Tired of the old look and not feeling terribly excited with the way things were going, a chance encounter with a fellow blogger set the wheels in motion, resulting in the blog’s previous incarnation. Fast forward to August 9th, 2010, and once again, something something has undergone another extreme makeover. As you can see from the domain name, something something now has its very own home as well as a fresh new look that kicks things up to a whole new level. Liza is very excited about the sleek, sexy new interface, and hopes you are too. Content runs the gamut, attracting a wide range of readers from around the world. You can find everything from political rants to mommy blogging, and while Liza isn’t sure what her writing future holds, she can promise you this – it’s going to be something something… Don’t forget to check out how it all began
