In case you missed it, the UN halted all humanitarian aid work in Northern Yemen three weeks ago because eight of their staffers were taken by the Houthis, in addition to several already being held. There are 19 million Yemenis who are in need of such aid this year, and no one has said a word about this. No one is calling out or condemning the UN for their role in making the world’s worst humanitarian disaster even worse.

Yet somehow, the same people who are choosing to keep silent about the UN decision to stop all humanitarian operations in Northern Yemen are loudly expecting Israel to continue providing humanitarian aid to those who brutally attacked us on October 7th, murdered 1,200 people on the spot, abducted far more hostages than the Houthis have taken (and tortured and starved them). And of course, this is despite the fact that Hamas has been keeping most of the aid for themselves and leaving Palestinians to suffer.

If you’re silent about or okay with the UN not doing its job in Yemen, but angry that Israel doesn’t want to continue to provide aid that will end up in the hands of Hamas, I’d say that makes you a virtue-signaling hypocrite.
