I was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Niskayuna, New York. After graduating from Boston University with a degree in sociology, I moved to Israel, where I’ve been living since 1991.
My writing covers a wide variety of subjects, including Waldorf education, local and regional politics and current events, fertility issues, parenting, loss and technology, among others.
I have written for the BBC World Service, and Chicken Soup for the Soul, and freelanced for Israel’s Haaretz and Jerusalem Post newspapers. In addition, I was a regular parenting columnist in Hebrew for Adam Olam, the magazine for Israel’s Anthroposophy/Waldorf education community.
About the blog
In the late spring of 2005, good friend Anglosaxy worked hard at convincing me to join him in a new blogging venture. He quickly wore me down, and after a great deal fair amount of brainstorming, something something went live on June 14th, 2005. Since that fateful day, something something has undergone a number of transformations, as Anglosaxy took his leave and I turned the blog into my own personal space, changing the look and style and writing about any subject that either made my socks roll up and down or got my knickers in a twist.
Content runs the gamut, attracting a wide range of readers from around the world. You can find everything from political rants to mommy blogging, and while I’m not sure what my writing future holds, I can promise you this – it’s going to be something something… Don’t forget to check out how it all began…
