If you’re not Jewish, you do not know more about what Jews have been experiencing during this past year (or ever) than we do.

If you don’t live in the Middle East and never have, unless you have immediate family here, you don’t know more about what’s happening here than we do.

Even if you’ve visited the Middle East, you still don’t understand the situation here better than those of us who live here.

Stop talking over us.

Stop gaslighting us.

Stop thinking you know better than us.

Stop trying to share information with us that you think we don’t know, because you’re so certain that if we “knew” what you “know”, it would somehow change our minds about what we are experiencing and witnessing personally – that we are somehow missing this elusive nugget of knowledge that you’ve discovered that changes everything.

If you wouldn’t do these things to members of other groups (and if you are, you shouldn’t be because it’s patronizing and gross), stop doing it to us.

Stop.

Please.

Stop.
