Just a quick post to let you know that I’ve had to enable comment moderation. I’m hoping that this will be a temporary measure, so please bear with me for the time being.

‘ve been doing that for close to a month now – since in the past, I get hit with nasty advertisement comments. As long as youre near a comp every so often to moderate, people don’t mind.

If it is because you have got yourself a stalker, you should cultivate him/her: stalkers are a sure sign of blog’s importance 馃槈
I can’t believe you’re reading Michael Totten. As the Brits would say: what a rotter.
As for comment moderation, it’s a total drag. If you had another platform than Blogger, you could use variations of moderation that wouldn’t be so cumbersome. I use a feature on WordPress which only moderates first-time commenters, which takes care of 90+% of my trolls.
When you favor Israeli Palestinian peace, you’re just gonna get trolls. There’s no 2 ways around it.
My commiserations.
Avromi: Thanks! Hopefully, my luck will be good, and I won’t have to moderate for too long.
Snoopythegoon: So, I should view being stalked as a badge of honor, so to speak? Hmmm… I’ll think about it, but I think I’d still prefer your regular, run-of-the-mill, pleasant yet quirky troll. Pros and cons to both, I suppose. 馃檪
Richard: You’re right about the comment moderation. It changes the whole dynamic of the comments section, and I don’t like having to resort to it. Hopefully it will just be a temporary measure.
Re Michael Totten, no need for name calling. I really enjoy his writing style and his insight. His booklet about the war was excellent, IMO, and his coverage of Lebanon is great. Seems like a nice guy, too.
Michael Totten a rotter?
Oh, it is that Richard… Uhu…
